Bike tour
Cycling through Valencia
Riding a bike is the best way to get to know the city in a short time. Besides, Valencia is flat, so it’s really easy to cycle around. So, come with us, and we’ll show you the highlights and hidden treasures of Valencia!
We get on our bikes near the cathedral, and show you the old town first. Meanwhile we tell you a few things about the history of the city. We cycle past the cathedral, the old city gate (Torres de Serranos), and the Silk Exchange (La Lonja). We also take you through the famous El Carmen neighbourhood, the oldest part of the city. Nowadays it’s a popular and vibrant nightlife area, full of nice restaurants, bars and shops.
From the old town we cycle down through the Turia Park, the old river bed, towards the sea. The Turia Park is the largest city park in Spain, it’s about 10 kilometer long, and full of beautiful trees, bicicle and walking lanes, and sports grounds. We continue through the park until we get to the supermodern buildings of the City of Arts and Sciences. Here we find the beautiful Opera house and the science museum – impressive buildings!
An additional option is to continue to the port area, to see where the America’s Cup and F1 Grand Prix races were held, and then to the beach, for a swim or just sit at the beach. The Cabanyal neighbourhood at the beach is now becoming a popular place for hanging out, because there’s lots of nice restaurants and hip bars.
If you like, you could keep the bike for the rest of the day to cycle around the city. Another option is to spend more time at the beach and come back to the city later in the day – whatever you like. Just ask us…
